practical implications for management.

responsibility for the content. If there are any potential conflicts of

the time of submission.
III.
Starting January 1, 2024, this journal will offer an Online First Publishing

which the article will be published online on the Sun Yat-sen Management Review website and Airiti Library. For articles

arrange the online first publishing schedule."
IV. Submission Requirements
- Submissions should be edited using Word 2000 or later versions. The cover page
of the paper should include the title in both Chinese and English, the author's
name, affiliation, and the suggested citation context. Please use the online
submission system on our journal's website: https://mgtr.cm.nsysu.edu.tw. All
documents should be submitted in Word (docx.) format for review process. Please
refer to the 'Submission Guideline' for details on the article content format.
- Submissions should include cover page, abstract page, the main text, references, and appendices (if any), with pages numbered in order. The full text of submissions in Chinese is limited to 15,000 characters, including the abstract, main text, references, appendices, tables, and figures. For English manuscripts, the total number of pages is limited to 50. Qualitative research may be an exception, but please do not exceed the limit by too much. Both new submissions and revised manuscripts based on reviewers' comments must adhere to the word count or page limit of this journal.
- The structure of the main text should adhere to the basic framework of a research paper. The structure for quantitative research should include an introduction (comprising of research motivation, objectives, questions, and definitions of terms), a literature review (providing the theoretical foundation and basis for hypotheses, or listing the research hypotheses), research methods (including sample selection, research framework, procedures, tools, and data processing), results and discussion, and conclusions and recommendations. The structure for qualitative research should include an introduction, literature review, research methods (covering research design, participants, tools, implementation procedures, data organization, and analysis), results and discussion, and conclusions and recommendations.
- English submissions should be revised by English-language professionals and provide the supporting information (for example, proof of payment or proof shown by the professionals responsible for revision) to reduce the likelihood of manuscripts being rejected because of language issues.
- Since 2020, all submitted articles will undergo an initial 'plagiarism similarity check' by the Editorial Committee using Turnitin. The principle is that the similarity index should not exceed 12%. If the similarity exceeds 12% but is below 20%, the Editorial Committee will contact the corresponding author to confirm their willingness to continue with the review process and request content revisions before restarting the review process. If the similarity exceeds 20%, the paper will be rejected.
- Starting from 2024, a submission fee of 1,500 NTD will be charged for each new submission. After acceptance for publication, an additional publication fee of 1,500 NTD will be charged per paper. Please use the online payment system: https://mgtr.cm.nsysu.edu.tw/?p=OnlinePayment. Refer to the website for payment instructions. After payment, please send the payment proof via email or fax to the Editorial Committee to facilitate the review process.
- In addition to the payment proof mentioned above, authors must adhere to academic research ethics and sign a copyright statement at the time of submission (the document can be downloaded from the link: https://mgtr.cm.nsysu.edu.tw/?p=CopyrightDeclaration). After signing, the original document should be mailed to 'Editorial Committee, Sun Yat-sen Management Review, College of Management, National Sun Yat-sen University, 70 Lien-hai Road, Gushan District, Kaohsiung, 804, Taiwan,' or provided as a scanned electronic copy via email. Once the journal receives the payment proof and the copyright statement, the review process will begin. Subsequent communication, including manuscript numbers, will be notified via email, and the manuscript will be processed according to our review procedures. Manuscripts without a signed copyright statement will not be reviewed.
- Regardless of whether a manuscript is published or not, it will not be returned. Authors should keep their own copies. The journal will retain electronic files for up to 3 years and paper submissions for up to 1 year.
- After receiving the notification of the manuscript review results, authors should adjust their manuscript to correspond to the formatting requirements specified in the journal’s ‘Submission Guideline'. A formal acceptance letter will be issued only after the revised manuscript is confirmed by the Editorial Committee to be correctly formatted.
- If there is a need to adjust the author information, please proactively email (mgtreview@cm.nsysu.edu.tw) during the review process with a detailed explanation of the reasons for the adjustment, as well as the content and the research involvement. Please include a 'Change of Author Order Declaration,' which can be submitted as an electronic file and any format but must clearly indicate the author order before and after the change. The declaration must be signed by all authors, and a should carbon copy to all co-authors at the same time. Once the review results have been notified to the corresponding author, no further changes to the authors' names or order will be accepted.
- If there is a change in the title during the review process, please proactively provide a 'Title Change Declaration' after receiving the notification of the review results. The declaration can be submitted as an electronic file and any format, but should clearly state the title before and after the change, as well as author information. The declaration can be signed by the corresponding author representing all authors and sent back to the journal’s Editorial Committee (email: mgtreview@cm.nsysu.edu.tw).

Manuscripts that meet the standards are assigned by the Editor-in-Chief to the appropriate Area Editor.
